Crystal L. Welton, J.D., LL.M.
Crystal L. Welton grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina, graduating from Rock Hill High. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Winthrop University in 2004, where she was a member of the Winthrop Cheerleading Squad. In May 2008, she received her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law. After graduation from law school, Crystal attended Villanova University School of Law, obtaining her LL.M. in Taxation and earning a certificate in employee benefits. Crystal is licensed to practice in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, and she is currently inactive in Florida.
Crystal has concentrated her practice in the areas of real estate, estate planning, trust administration, estate administration/probate, special needs and disability planning, guardianships, special needs trusts, and elder law planning and assisted individuals and families in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
She is experienced in preparing both straightforward and complex estate plans. Additionally, she regularly assists families in navigating through special needs planning, including qualifying clients for public benefits, preparing special needs trust, handling guardianship/conservatorship proceedings, and creating estate plans to maintain a disabled individual’s public benefits. She advises clients regarding elder law and Medicaid planning issues, including ways to protect the assets and dignity of a loved one that may require skilled nursing care. She is privileged to be able to counsel her clients on these various topics and to alleviate some of the stress associated with life’s most difficult challenges.
In addition to the areas above, Crystal’s practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate, which includes closings, refinances, home equity lines of credit as well as foreclosures and quiet title actions.
